Wolves under-21s will compete in the EFL Trophy for the seventh time in the 2023/24 season.
The Old Gold are one of 16 Category One Academy sides who have been invited to join the 48 League One and League Two clubs.
The EFL Trophy group stage draw will take place live on Sky Sports at 11.30am on Thursday 22nd June, with confirmation of the draw to follow on wolves.co.uk, EFL.com and @TheEFLTrophy on Twitter.
All under-21 sides participating in the competition will play all three group stage matches away from home, while the EFL clubs play two of their three fixtures at home.
Wolves reached the knockout stages last time out, impressively navigating their way through the group stages with six points from a possible nine.
2-1 victories on the road at Shrewsbury Town and Stockport County ensured qualification into the round of 32 before the final group game at Port Vale.
Joe Hodge’s dramatic late double was enough to secure three points at the Shrews before Lee Harkin and Tyler Roberts scored at Edgeley Park to down their League Two opponents.
Manchester United under-21s awaited in the knockout stages at Molineux, where the Wolves youngsters fell just short of a place in the last 16, as United progressed on penalties following a goalless 90 minutes.
Ahead of the 2023/24 competition, the 16 invited U21 teams will be placed into their respective Northern and Southern section groups, with the 48 EFL clubs placed in pre-determined groups prior to the draw.
