U21 preview | Wolves vs Everton

Wolves under-21s round off their Easter weekend with a home fixture against Everton in PL2.

The youngsters in old gold showed fight to come from a goal behind and claim a late point at Tottenham Hotspur on Friday, as Ty Barnett struck with six minutes left on the clock.

That point halted a run of three straight defeats and gave James Collins’ side a positive result heading into an Easter Monday clash with the Toffees.

Wolves faced Everton at Finch Farm a little over a week ago where it was the home side who took all three points.

Everton were three goals to the good inside the opening 32 minutes and the visitors were unable to respond, travelling back down from Merseyside empty-handed.

Paul Tait’s Blues are comfortably positioned in the PL2 table, having accumulated 28 points from their 21 fixtures so far this season.

They’ll be looking to complete the league double over Wolves who, on the flip side, will be searching for three important points to move them away from the dropzone when it comes to the context of the league.
