Wolves under-21s travel to Merseyside on Friday evening to take on Everton in PL2.
James Collins’ side have six games of the season remaining and three points at Finch Farm could move them four points clear of the drop zone.
Back-to-back defeats have slightly halted the momentum gained from a three-game unbeaten run and important victories over Arsenal and Leicester.
West Ham were the victors in the old gold’s last outing, who played for over 70 minutes with 10 men and defender Kam Kandola in goal.
Meanwhile, Everton sit two places and four points above Wolves in the PL2 table, but have failed to win in the league since 22nd January.
The Toffees collected a commendable point away to title chasers Chelsea last time out, with Katia Kouyate cancelling out Mason Burstow’s early opener.
The two sides are yet to meet this season, so face one another twice in the space of 11 days, with the reverse fixture taking place at Aggborough on 10th April.
