The development side are still looking to pick up their first victory in this season’s competition, having faced Oldham Athletic and Bradford City in their opening fixtures.
Having fallen to an undeserved 4-0 loss to the Latics in their first outing, the under-21s took a bonus point from their 1-1 draw with Bradford having won the decisive penalty shootout.
Tuesday evening’s opponents have matched Wolves’ performances so far in this competition, with a defeat to Oldham and a penalty shooutout win over the Banthams, but Bradford currently sit second in the table due to goal difference.
Wolves and Doncaster will need to win their final fixture to stand a chance of reaching the knockout stages, with both also needing Bradford not to pick up all three points against Oldham.
Due to the Papa John’s Trophy being an EFL competition, the usual live coverage on Wolves TV will NOT be available for the fixtures with Oldham, Bradford and Doncaster. Follow @WolvesAcademy on Twitter for match updates
However, supporters can purchase a match pass from Doncaster’s website here, with the match available on iFollow Rovers for £10.
