Rob Edwards’ side have picked up four points from their opening three matches in Premier League 2 Division 1 following their promotion last season, with Mertian Shabani and Taylor Perry getting off the mark for the under-23s last Friday night.
Leicester have taken two points from their opening trio of fixtures, incidentally against the same three sides that Wolves have played. The Foxes earnt draws against Everton and Blackburn, while both Leicester and Wolves have fallen to defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion.

WHAT THE BOSS THINKS
On the challenge of the Foxes
“We’ve got a very distinct style of playing and so have Leicester. I suppose the two sides are not that compatible in a way, so it will be an interesting game.
“As all sides do, they will come out aggressive and press, try to dominate and make things difficult for us with the ball because they’ve got real athleticism and quality, can transition quickly, but can also keep the ball and have a bit of a football match as well.
“They have similarities to Everton, which is why they cancelled each other out when they played at the start of the season, so we’re expecting a really difficult game, but we’re looking forwards to it, as always.”
On analysing his opponents
“We feel like we’ve seen Leicester over and over again when preparing for our matches against Everton and Blackburn as they were the opponents in both of those teams’ earlier games, so we have a good understanding of what they’ll be about and what’s coming.
“However, it’s all about what happens on the day. We can all look at what they’ve done, but it’s about what we do on the day. We give the lads snippets of information about what to expect and what they’ll be like, but we’ve already found teams change their set-up when they come to play Wolves.
“That’s why we have to be good at what we do, so we can be ready for anything.”
On learning from opening fixtures
“It’s going to be a tough season. It’s going to be a challenge, but we’ve got to embrace that and know that we’ve got to be at it every game.
“We’re in four competitions this season and each one will pose different challenges, so if we take anything from these opening three games is that we’ve had to be at our best in all of them to compete. But when we are at our max, we can more than compete, so we have to see that as a positive.”
