Giles up for Player of the Month

In what has been a week of celebration for Wolves’ under-23s, Ryan Giles has received more positive news in the form of a Premier League 2 Division 2 Player of the Month nomination.

The wide man played a crucial role in Wolves’ promotion this season, but particularly on Friday night, when he came to the fore and helped seal the title against Manchester United.

The youngster set up Niall Ennis for the crucial equaliser at Leigh Sports Village and was involved in Sadou Diallo’s winner in injury time, as Rob Edwards’ side sealed promotion.

The Wolves man goes up against Daniel Butterworth (Blackburn), Tyrese Francois (Fulham), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Mason Greenwood (Man Utd) and Liam Cullen (Swansea) for the award.

Giles has been a star performer for Edwards all season and was rewarded with his first-team debut against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup back in January.
