Wolves ran out comprehensive 7-0 winners over Sunderland on a brisk Monday evening at the New Bucks Head in Premier League 2.

It was Austin Samuels who opened the scoring as he finished off a sublime team goal as Niall Ennis and Carlos Heredia linked up before playing in Samuels who calmly finished beyond the Sunderland 'keeper.

Ennis, then, turned goalscorer as he produced a stunning strike from 25 yards to double Wolves' lead in the 23rd minutes.

There was no let up from Wolves as Sadou Diallo scored his first goal in a gold shirt, before Carlos Heredia and Dominic Iorfa added Wolves' fourth and fifth goals before the half time whistle has blown

It was 6-0 in the 58th minute as Iorfa met Dan Csoka's cross to complete an accomplished victory and performance.

To finish the night, Paulo Alves produced another stunning strike in added time finding the top corner from 30 yards.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH: 

Niall Ennis produced a stunning strike from 25 yards midway through the first half to score Wolves second goal of the evening. A stunning strike which left Sunderland goalkeeper, Anthony Patterson with no chance of saving it.

Speaking after the game, Wolves boss Rob Edwards said, "I was really pleased and really impressed with the performance and the result. We're delighted with the performance and the number of goals that we've scored.

"The pleasing thing was that we kept the attitude right, we kept doing the right things throughout the 90 minutes - I think that was the most pleasing thing for me."
