This month, Wolves and the football world will come together to protect the game we love.
Climate change is already disrupting football, from extreme heat to flooded pitches. Together, we can take on football’s toughest opponent and protect our game for future generations.
That’s why Wolves are proud to join Earth FC and clubs around the world to support the Play for Earth FC campaign, protecting the pitches and the people that make football what it is.
In the run up to COP30, the climate summit where governments decide their game plan for the planet, Earth FC are mobilising millions of fans in Brazil and beyond.
Earth FC is a global campaign to unleash the power of football to protect what we love. With climate change and nature loss threatening the future of the game, Earth FC brings together fans, players, clubs and communities to stand up for football and the planet we play it on.
Led by Brazilian football and picking up around the world, players, clubs, fans and legends are coming together to Play for Earth FC between 2nd and 10th November, standing as one team to protect the gameʼs future and call for change. A show of unity from football, using the power of the sport to inspire action.
Earlier this year, Wolves were represented at Earth FC’s ECOFUT Summit, the largest ever gathering of football for planet in Brazil. It brought together key stakeholders from Brazilian and world football, including clubs, federations and government officials, with Thom Rawson sharing insights our One Pack, One Planet programme to inspire wider climate action through football
Rawson, Wolves’ sustainability lead and founder of Sustainable Football, said: “With COP30 hosted in Brazil this year, the importance of harnessing football for climate action has never been so clear.
“Having participated in Earth FC's ECOFUT conference earlier this year, we're pleased to continue to support the campaign's efforts to unify football for planet across the globe.”
