Rob Edwards says he’s now seeing the belief grow within his players, and positive results will only help increase that.
Wolves have improved in recent weeks, with positive performances this side of Christmas leading to four points and a first victory last time out against West Ham United.
The fixtures keep on coming, and Edwards now wants his group to maintain their positive momentum when travelling to Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time on Wednesday.
On working after a win
“We were performing well, but wins are obviously nice. For them to come off the back of some good performance is obviously good, but everyone else just cares about results. That's the nature of the business, I understand it. But our focus has been on trying to improve. Inside there's not been that much change and we're still trying to improve.
“What we've seen in the last couple of weeks is more belief. We've seen that more in training as well. There's been a better quality. There's been more of a bounce around because people can see a little bit more progression. The lads can feel that as well. So, that certainly helped around the place and the environment. But it's been business as usual. It was a really good day for us, and we needed it. The club needed it. The supporters needed it more than anyone else. But we just crack on and keep working hard.”
On Mane shining in midfield
“He's still at that stage where I'm probably still a bit scary to him, so he won't ask me any questions at all. He's just got to keep doing what he's doing at the moment. His performance was really good, but all of his performances before that have been as well, whether he's been coming off the bench or starting the games. He's got a really good attitude, but he's affected games very, very well with his intensity, his selfless work, but then real moments of quality and bravery, which I think has rubbed off on a lot of the group as well.”

On Everton up next
“Every game is difficult in the Premier League, and this will be no different. They’re obviously coming off the back of a result that they'll be frustrated with at home, so they'll be wanting to put that right. So, it's going to be a really difficult game. We're under no illusions, just because we've got a couple of results, we haven't cracked it, far from it. So, we've got to make sure that we keep our feet on the ground and keep working very, very hard. This is going to be a very difficult game.”
On the new midfield system
“The last couple of games we've not only got results, but really good performances as well. The running that we've done, the in-possession work has been good, we've looked solid. So, there's been lots of sides of the game that I've liked. It's given us a few more strings to our bow certainly.
“A player like Jhon [Arias] wants to feel involved and be in the game. If he's in the game, then we're going to see the best of him. Perhaps being a little bit deeper keeps him in the game more. He'd shown it before in slightly different position at Aston Villa – I thought he was excellent that day as well, but if we can keep consistent performances from him, if he's selected, it’s certainly going to help us.”

On Tolu settling into the Premier League
“I still think we're going to see more, and I hope we do as well, I think he's improving. He'll accept and say himself that there's still more to come. He’s working hard to get fitter and is still get used to this league. By no means is he finished yet, but we're starting to see some really good shoots of improvement, more confidence from him. There's a bit more belief there in him as well. So that's really encouraging, but there’s more to come.
“He's not just a big, physical guy. There's more to him than that. He's had some really good chances, he's been a threat, he's been awkward for the opposition, but he's worked hard as well, so we're pleased with him. He gives us really good options in that top line.”
