Ladislav Krejci says a lack of confidence and quality cost Wolves against Manchester United on Monday night.
The Old Gold were level at the break, but were punished for their mistakes by United, subjecting the hosts to yet another defeat in the Premier League.
Krejci returned from injury to partner Andre in midfield, but cut a disappointed figure come full-time, and insists the whole group needs to step up, and quickly, in a bid to start picking up results.
On a tough night
“It's disappointing. After the first half we showed a little bit of energy to feel that the game was not finished, and we could achieve some points, but too many mistakes and we ran a lot out of position. When we took the ball, we tried to get it in position, but we lost it to Manchester who were in better positions for fast, quality counter attacks.”
On the mistakes being made
“All the situations, for me, looked more or less same. We knew before the game that they have the best counters in the Prem, but we missed quality on the ball to get in shape and find some positions to attack them and try to have some chances.
“It's a lot of things. It's confidence and quality, but it's also the feeling in the moment.”
On the feeling in the group
“We need to get out of it somehow. We know now it will be very hard programme, but it's about us. Every week is the same. So, we need to very quickly step up, everybody, and start to show our quality.”
On a tough environment at Molineux
“I've not been here for a lot of time, but when we show something, they support us, they are behind us. It’s hard, but it's life. Sometimes life gives you good opportunities, sometimes bad, and you need to get it out of it, because that’s life.”
