Vitor Pereira will see 15 of his Wolves first-team squad joining up with their national teams this week for the latest round of international action.
Never before have Wolves had 15 first-team players called up for international duty in the same period, with all six of the summer’s signings hoping to represent their nations their week.
More than a dozen of the squad will be in World Cup qualification as they look to put their countries one step closer to a place at next summer’s tournament, taking place across North America.
Having switched his allegiances earlier this year, former France under-21 international Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has received his first senior call up for Haiti as they face Honduras and Costa Rica.
Jhon Arias and Yerson Mosquera have both been called up by Colombia for their qualification games against Bolivia and Venezuela, while Santiago Bueno is also in South American qualification with Uruguay, as his country face games at home to Peru and away in Chile.
In African qualification, Tolu Arokodare is with Nigeria for their matches against Rwanda and South Africa, and Jackson Tchatchoua has been selected by Cameroon for their fixtures versus Eswatini and Cape Verde.
Emmanuel Agbadou is with Ivory Coast for games against Burundi and Gabon, and Marshall Munetsi and Tawanda Chirewa are both in the Zimbabwe squad for their qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Over in European qualification, Ladislav Krejci has been called up by Czech Republic for the single qualifier this month against Montenegro, as well as a friendly clash with Saudi Arabia, while David Moller Wolfe is with Norway for their games at home to Finland and Moldova. Jorgen Strand Larsen was initially called up by Norway, but has withdrawn from international duty due to injury, which also kept him out of last weekend’s Premier League defeat to Everton.
Matt Doherty and Jose Sa will also be hoping for international action this week with Republic of Ireland and Portugal respectively. In the same qualification group, both Ireland and Portugal face matches with Hungary and Armenia this week.
In the junior categories, Fer Lopez is with Spain under-21s for their Euro U21 qualification games against Cyprus and Kosovo, while Enzo Gonzalez has been selected in Paraguay’s squad for this month’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, which will see the country face off against Panama, South Korea and Ukraine in the group stages.
