Traore completes loan move

Midfielder Boubacar Traore has returned to Metz on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The Malian joined Wolves from the Ligue 1 side in 2022 but, after playing just three times last season, has returned on a temporary basis in a bid to receive more opportunities on the pitch.

The midfielder was a deadline day signing in the summer of 2022, initially on loan, and played 11 times that first season, predominantly under the temporary management of Steve Davis and James Collins

During that period Traore scored his only Wolves goal to date, a Carabao Cup winner against Leeds United, and the following summer his loan move became permanent, despite him missing an extended period with a groin issue.

Traore played 27 times across the 2023/24 campaign, often off the bench, but a meniscus injury and the form of his colleagues denied him significant gametime last season.

All at Wolves would like to wish Boubacar the best of luck during his time back at Metz.
