New Wolves attacker Fer Lopez has been assigned the number 28 shirt ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Famous for being the number Portugal legend Joao Moutinho wore on the back of his gold and black shirt during his five years at Molineux, Lopez retains the number which he also donned at former club Celta Vigo.
The 21-year-old will first wear the number 28 shirt during Wolves' pre-season friendly fixtures, with the team set to face Celta in the final match of their four warm-up matches ahead of the new campaign, when the sides go head-to-head at Molineux on Saturday 9th August, 3pm kick-off.
Meanwhile two other players have requested to change their squad numbers this summer, with Rodrigo Gomes switching to number 21 and Yerson Mosquera taking on the number 15 shirt, following the departures of Pablo Sarabia and Craig Dawson respectively earlier this summer.
Supporters are reminded that the finalised squad numbers for the 2025/26 season are not yet confirmed and could still change.
