Wolves’ Matheus Cunha has been nominated for the Premier League’s EA Sports Player of the Month award following a fine December for the Brazilian.
The forward scored three and assisted three, leaving him directly involved in goals in all but two of his seven outing during a month where Wolves claimed 13 points.
To start the festive month, Cunha curled home a brilliant strike at Arsenal, before laying on the crucial assist for Hee Chan Hwang to net the winner against Burnley.
Next up Nottingham Forest, and the Brazilian was on target himself to earn Wolves a point, before he worked tirelessly in the victory over Chelsea on Christmas Eve.
The month was concluded with an assist for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde at Brentford and the second goal in Wolves’ brilliant three points over Everton which concluded 2023.
Wolves’ number 12 is one of eight nominated for the award, with the likes of Michael Olise, Cole Palmer and Dominic Solanke also put forward.
