Arrive early for Palace match

Wolves supporters are being urged to arrive early to Tuesday night’s crucial Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Molineux, with head coach Julen Lopetegui stressing the importance the role the fans will play in helping the team achieve their survival goal.

Ahead of the 7.30pm kick-off, the Spaniard has issued a rallying call to all supporters to take their seats inside the stadium at least 30 minutes early to help build the atmosphere and create another memorable night under the Molineux lights.

“We are still in the middle of the battle,” Lopetegui said. “The players are all very clear that we are still fighting to achieve our aim and we know how hard we are going to have to work during these last six finals.

“To make it over the line, we also need the help of you, our supporters. We all want to do well and achieve our aims, but to do that, we need everyone; players, staff and fans, to bring everything they can to Molineux on Tuesday evening.

“I call on our fans to arrive inside the stadium 30 to 45 minutes before kick-off to help us from the warm-up and create the great atmosphere that matches under the lights here at Molineux are known for.

“We need our supporters in all of the stands to come – as you always do – with the attitude to support us from the moment the players first walk out of the tunnel for the warm-up and through the whole match.

“Please don’t underestimate how much your support means to us and can help push us to achieve our aims – especially in the difficult moments that we will face.”

To keep supporters entertained during the pre-match build-up, DJ Stuart Ojelay will be performing live inside the stadium from 6.45pm.

And there will also be a special guest taking to the mic as inspirational blind Wolves supporter Frazer – the star of the club’s One Pack Week coverage – reads out the team line-ups.

Supporters need to arrive into the stadium before 7.05pm to hear Frazer deliver the team read and announce the Wolves players who will be taking on Palace. The young fan will then be trying his hand at DJing on the decks with Stuart.

As well as flying the giant Wolves crowd surfer flag across the lower tier of the Stan Cullis Stand ahead of kick-off, supporters in the South Bank will once again be asked to take part in the Old Gold Pack flag initiative – which has seen a fantastic response in recent games.

The Old Gold Pack flag displays are a fan initiative, by fans, for fans. However, despite requests for supporters to leave the flags by their seats after the game to be reused, 50 per cent of the flags were taken after the last fixture at Molineux. Anyone who did take a flag home from the Brentford game are being encouraged to bring it back for tomorrow’s match.

It’s important as many flags are returned and then left in the stadium following full-time, as this will help OGP’s plans to go ever bigger for the match against Aston Villa and future fixtures at Molineux.
