The 29-year-old has been employed in a deep-lying midfield role since his arrival at Molineux in January and was typically effective on his return from suspension at Fulham on Friday night. Having admitted to maturing from his time at Southampton and Fulham, Lemina is flourishing at Wolves, who head to Anfield on Wednesday, with the Gabon international starring in the victory over the Reds at Molineux recently and looking for more of the same.
On the midfield working well
“Now, it’s been three or four weeks I’ve been with the guys, and we try to have this chemistry between us because it’s going to come through this midfield. We’ve got really good players who understand the play, and when we’re going to get 100 per cent chemistry, I think we’re going to play really good football.”
On becoming a team player
“I try to understand the game more and understand the players around me too. I know that I’ve got some quality and if I can be the balance between all the creative players and the defence, I will do that. If I have to, maybe on other days, there’s a more defensive player and I have to go forward, I will. It’s everything about the team, not for me and I will give 100 per cent all the time.
“I’ve been playing for so many teams, I’ve got so much experience from all the teams I’ve been at, and it makes me think a lot during that journey. I’ve been thinking about what you can do to help the team. I’ve been thinking about it and I think I’ve found the right way now.”
On Liverpool up next
“They’re going to come back really angry. It’s going to be a good game, we’re improving a lot in our game. It’s going to be a tough game, we know Liverpool are a strong team, even if they’ve suffered a little bit this season, they’re still a good team. We have to do what we have to do and try to win the game again.”
On the Fulham performance
“If we think about the first half, we could have won the game. In the second half, they put more pressure on us and I think a draw was a fair result for both teams.”

On the manager wanting him
“It’s been a long time we’ve been talking together and now it happened, we did it, and I was very happy to come here.”
