International duty for Lage's players

Eight members of Bruno Lage’s first-team have departed Compton Park for international duty this week, with the Nations League taking centre stage in Europe.

Five separate countries will be represented over the next week by the old gold, with four of Lage’s group linking up with Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad.

Jose Sa, Ruben Neves, Matheus Nunes and Pedro Neto are all included in the Portugal squad, although the previously capped Nelson Semedo, Joao Moutinho, Goncalo Guedes and Daniel Podence all miss out this time.

Elsewhere in Europe, Nathans Collins links up with the Republic of Ireland for the first time as a Wolves player, while Matija Sarkic heads off for Montenegro duty.

Hee Chan Hwang and South Korea face a friendly doubler header in preparation for the World Cup, while Raul Jimenez will continue his recovery and treatment with the Mexico national team.
