Coady relishing Newcastle atmosphere

Conor Coady is relishing the trip to St James’ Park and has his sights set on maintaining the momentum building at Wolves.

Wolves have won their last three on the road, at Besiktas, Manchester City and Slovan Bratislava, and now head to the north east looking for a fourth. Knowing a lively atmosphere awaits in Newcastle, Coady is looking forward to the quick turnaround, following a full recovery from the trip to Slovakia.

On the trip to Newcastle

“It’s a brilliant atmosphere there and a fantastic place to play football. It is a huge football club, it really, really is a good football club, but we will be ready.

“They are the grounds you want to be playing at. Listen, every ground in the Premier League is fantastic. Every atmosphere is brilliant but it is a good place to go and play football so we are looking forward to it.

“Now we’ve got Bratislava out of the way with a win and a good win at that, we can look forward to it.”

On recovering and going again

“We went to Bratislava to compete and win the game and we did that, but we need to look forward. We need to make sure we recover right like we have done after every Europa League game and make sure we are ready come Sunday.

“Football is about winning, it is as simple as that. Football is about moving forward and learning while you’re winning and we are doing that at the minute, and that’s the most important thing, and hopefully we can keep on doing that after Sunday as well.”

On where Wolves are at

“It is hard to tell you. We want to keep improving, that’s the most important thing. We are trying our best every time we go out to implement the manager’s ideas as much as possible.

“We are a young team who want to improve every single day and every single game. It’s always better to improve when you’re winning and I hope we can keep on doing that.”
