The 19-year-old Portugal under-20 international, a close friend of Ruben Vinagre, is excited to be learning from his fellow Portuguese teammates following two years spent on loan in Italy with Lazio.
On joining Wolves
“I’m very happy to be here because it’s a very big club that they demonstrated last year with the season they had.
“What they did last season was very good because they achieved a place in the Europa League and it’s a very well-done job.”
On the Portuguese influence at Molineux
“Having so many Portuguese people here is good for me because they can help me to be a good person and to be a better player. I am a very close friend of Vinagre and I think that can be helpful for me.
“He said that it’s a very good, organised club, that they have very good people here and very good facilities. I have now seen the club and the facilities, and I think the same as him.”
On adapting to life in a new country
“The other players have done something that is very important, they told me that it’s a difficult competition and that the country’s difficult because of the weather.
“For example, in Italy the weather was unbelievable, with many days of sun, but here the weather is too cold.
“My parents go to Italy to take my things and there the weather was unbelievable – I think 40 degrees there – it was very sunny last season.”
On aims for his Wolves career
“I want to show my value and demonstrate I can be one of the best here. I want to be the best that I can and help the team to conquer their objectives.
“We want to do our best in the Europa League, to show this club is a big club that can do great things.
“I want to say to the fans that I will be the best that I can and that I will give everything for this club that has believed in me.”
