After Ruben Neves was injured in Wolves’ Europa League qualifier against Crusaders FC on Thursday, head of medical Phil Hayward has provided an update.
Neves was substituted in the 58th minute of Wolves’ 2-0 victory and taken to hospital, however Hayward has provided positive news.
He said: “Following a heavy blow to the abdominal area during the second half of last night’s game, Ruben was taken to hospital as a precaution for further tests to ensure there was no significant injury to his abdomen.
“Thankfully, all the tests were clear, and he returned home later in the evening.”
