Adam Armstrong feels Wolves were excellent value for their 3-0 home win to Cardiff City, but still feels there is improvements to be made if they are to continue their impressive form.
The striker netted for the second game in a row after his winning strike against Watford last weekend, adding the Old Gold’s second of the afternoon with a bullet header moments before Fer Lopez had opened the scoring.
Although he believes just getting wins in the Championship is all that matters, regardless of scoreline, Armstrong was pleased the team were able to be more clinical in front of goal ahead of back-to-back away games at Bristol City and Wrexham next week.
On victory over Cardiff
“It’s amazing. We started off really well again. I said that last week, we could have scored more goals and today again, but you can’t take anything away from a 3-0 win at home with a good clean sheet.
“It’s nice, especially when you get the three points because that’s the most important thing
“No matter how you win, you want the three points and today was one of them. It was an excellent performance.”

On scoring two in two
“I see the ball running down the wing and try to get into a good position in the box. If they put the ball in, I want to be in a good spot.
“I worked on it all week to be in the right positions in the box and thankfully it paid off.”
On the timing of the second goal
“It was really important. I thought we were on top for the first 20 or 25 minutes and could have had more goals.
“We created a few chances in the first half again, but it’s just about keeping that home form going in the away games.
“It was also nice to get a clean sheet and now we move on to Wednesday.”
