A point for Wolves would be enough for Nuno’s side to clinch the Championship title and although the Wolves Head Coach is expecting a tough test from a Bolton Wanderers side battling for survival, he says securing promotion last weekend has allowed his team to focus on the performance rather than the result.
He said, “first of all, we want to play a good game, we want to perform well against a tough team, a team that is fighting for something that is massive for them.
“We expect a tough game and we prepare well regarding what we want to do - the task and the performance, then, if we can achieve a good result it will be very good for us.
“We have achieved something and therefore we can prepare ourselves with calmness and really focus on what we want to produce without the rush that the result sometimes causes but nothing changes.
“What we want is to go game by game, we’re not looking much further than that.
“We proved to ourselves and to everybody that we have had a positive attitude throughout the season.
“When we played the last game against Birmingham, we knew already that we were promoted and the attitude of the players and the intensity they showed through the game was for us and to be respectful to our opponent.
“We know that Bolton are going to fight so the best way to respect the league and your opponent is do what we always do, compete at the maximum of our strengths.
“They’re a team that is very direct and they’re dangerous on set-pieces, so we have to match their intensity and then we are able to control the game through our talent and possession, through our shape and organisation.
“We are conscious that Saturday is going to be tough and we want to go to Bolton and perform well and compete in the same way we have throughout the season.
“We are ready for it, we are totally ready for it.”
Reflecting on last weekend’s promotion to the Premier League, Nuno revealed that he believes that Wolves will be back where they belong.
Despite being delighted with his side’s achievements, he says that nobody is planning for next season just yet as his sole focus remains on Saturday’s trip to Bolton.
“I think the repercussions that Wolves are back in the Premier League has covered the world,” said Nuno.
“It’s a very big club that I personally think belongs among the best teams in England.
“The impact is all over the world. Back in the 50s and the 60s, you just have to visit our museum, it says a lot about the history of the club.
“The competition has not finished, nobody is planning for next season, it’s the worst thing that we could do and we will not allow that.
“You have to deal with your present, the best way to build whatever comes to us is to finish well.”
