First half goals from Diogo Jota, Romain Saiss and Ruben Vinagre were just rewards for a clinical display, with substitute Leo Bonatini rounding off an incisive move to complete the scoring after the break.
It was Wolves biggest win for two-and-a-half years and biggest on the road since beating Crewe 4-0 back in 2005.
“It was a good game and a good result. A very good job!” said Nuno.
“We wanted a reaction to the defeat (at Sheffield United) and we came here and we did it.
“We were very effective in our first attack with a beautiful goal which gave us the advantage in the game.
“When you score early like that then everything changes.
“I am very proud with the way the team managed the game from there.
“We showed that we can play in each stadium the same way and it was a big step for us but we have a long way to go.
“We showed something different was about reacting from the moment of the defeat with a new solution.
“It is never about doing anything one time – you have to keep on doing it and be consistent.
“Our opponents worked very hard.
“It was a tough game for us and we came here to respect them and the best way to do that was to make sure we were always in the game.
“Everyone knows what it means to get a good win going into the international break.
“We have some momentum and now some time to work with the players that are here.”
The travelling Wolves fans made plenty of noise throughout the game and will have returned home delighted with the performance.
“I think our fans enjoyed it and that is important for us,”added Nuno.
“They were in there singing and supporting and it was a very good day for all of us.”
The early stage of the season has also raised expectations outside the club of what Wolves can potentially achieve during the campaign.
But Nuno, asked how he assesses his introduction to the Sky Bet Championship, will certainly not be allowing anyone to get carried away.
“If there is more expectation, we cannot control what is going on outside or what is being said about us,” he explained.
“All you can control is your daily routine and my boys do not get carried away – they know what they have to do.
“If you are a team that wants to succeed then every day you have to do something to make you better and try and achieve that maximum.
“I am enjoying it here very much.
“We came here to build something, something that can make everyone proud.
“We are building something based on an idea and a philosophy of what we want and how we want to play.
“What I would say about the season so far is that we have a long way to go – a long way and a hard way as well.
“But we are in the right way and the boys should be very proud of the way they are working and the team spirit they are showing on a daily basis.
“It makes us think we have a chance of doing it but we will never ever think too high or getting carried away.
“Feet on the ground – and on Monday we go back to work.”
