'Meet The Gomeses' a huge success

Over 350 young Wolves fans were in attendance at Drayton Manor Resort on Monday evening, with Wolves’ quartet of Gomeses hitting the mark.

Joao Gomes, Angel Gomes, Toti Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes were all happy to meet and greet the many fans in attendance and answer questions on stage, before supporters made the most of enjoying rides without queues.

The after-hours ‘Meet The Gomeses’ event was a chance for the players to offer appreciation to the fans during an unusually long period without Premier League football, stretching 25 days.

Toti Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes both spoke about the importance of maintaining a good connection with Wolves supporters, following another sold out Young Wolves event.

Toti said: “It was a nice activity with us four Gomeses – it was good to spend some time with them. It's very important to have a good connection, not only with the younger supporters, but with every fan.

“It’s important to have that bond with them, this was another way for them to show their support for us, especially when we have more games coming up.”

Rodrigo said: “It was lovely to meet some young fans, the connection between them and us players is great, they give us a lot of support, and it was a moment to say thank you to them.

“Our season hasn't been great, we know how tough it's been, but moments like this are so important. It’s important to keep the connection between us players and the fans, especially the young fans, so it’s a great time to give back.”
