Jose Sa keeps Healthy Goals

Keep an eye out for Sunday morning’s edition of Match of the Day on BBC One – as it is set to feature a visit from Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa to one of Wolves Foundation’s Healthy Goals sessions.

The popular gloveman took his safe hands to the project for pre-school children and their families, which promotes healthy growth through education and activity sessions.

Jose, his partner Raquel and their daughter Maria popped along to Healthy Goals where the man himself read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' to the young guests after which they were encouraged to prepare their own ‘caterpillars’ in the form of healthy fruit skewers!

“We were delighted to welcome Jose and his family to Healthy Goals and they really got involved in the session with our participants,” says Wolves Foundation health officer Jade Sutton.

“Players visits like this have such a positive impact on Foundation projects and Jose was an excellent storyteller who had the children hanging on his every word!”

Healthy Goals is a Premier League and Professional Footballers’ Association funded project with additional funding from City of Wolverhampton Council.
