Bid for match worn signed Wolves shirts and matchball from Villa victory

Fans can bid for coveted and unique Wolves merchandise – and at the same time support the Wolves Foundation – via a new Online Auction on the Wolves App.

The first items available on the Wolves App include two match shirts, worn by Willy Boly and Jonny, in the derby day triumph against Aston Villa.

The pair played an important role as Wolves produced a fantastic performance to defeat Villa 2-1, completing a league double over their local rivals in front of a packed and delighted Molineux.

The game’s matchball will be up for grabs too, signed by the Wolves' goal scorer Jonny.

The Spanish wing-back opened the scoring with a superb finish before an Ashley Young own goal gave Wolves a 2-0 lead, and even Ollie Watkins’ late consolation from the penalty spot couldn’t put a dampener on a memorable afternoon for the gold and black faithful.

The Online Auction will also feature the matchball from this season's 2-1 home win against Leicester City, signed by the two Wolves goalscorers, Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence.

The fixture, which took place on February 20th, provided Wolves with their first win over the Foxes in six meetings, stretching back to memorable 4-3 victory back in January 2019.

It was also the first goals Wolves had notched against Leicester in those games, with added significance for the scorers.

For Neves, who chalked up the accolade of 200 Wolves appearances in the win at Tottenham Hotspur the previous weekend, it was his first goal at Molineux in just over a year, since the victory against Arsenal in February 2021, while Podence’s clinical winner was his first Premier League goal of the season.

All funds raised from the items which are auctioned will help the Foundation continue their work and support the residents from across the city of Wolverhampton.

The Wolves Foundation engages with all ages and abilities to positively impact the lives of thousands of people, particularly around improving employment opportunities, reducing food poverty rates, and supporting mental health and wellbeing.
