Graham passed away earlier this year at the age of 87 after decades of service at his beloved Molineux, and donations following his death have already raised more than £1,500 which was passed on to the two charities.
He boasted an extensive book collection in his famous office tucked away inside the Billy Wright Stand and, with kind permission from his family, these have now been collected and sorted to be auctioned off.
There is an extraordinary range of books which will be available both about Wolves, football and sport in general and indeed local history, and many are signed either by the author or former Wolves players.
They will be sold in stages via Wolves Foundation’s eBay site, with all proceeds then shared between the Feed Our Pack campaign helping to alleviate food poverty in the city and Compton Care, who looked after Graham with such love and devotion in his final days.
During his time at Wolves, Graham was a hugely popular member of staff, not least among staff past and present whom he described as his ‘old girls’ who helped his family look after him during lockdown and then during his illness.
One of those whom Graham was particularly close to was Claire Peters, ticketing team leader at Wolves, who spoke at his funeral and has worked with Wolves colleague Maria Morris to go through the book collection.
“We always joked with Graham about the ‘tat’ he had in his office and asked him how much ‘tat’ one person could own,” says Claire.
“Of course it was his ‘tat’, and it wasn’t really ‘tat’ but just so much history and memorabilia about Wolves and football in general.
“When I started boxing them up, there was just book after book after book, on so many different subjects.
“I think it is lovely that people will have the opportunity to buy them, as perhaps a memory and tribute to Graham but also to support two great charities.
“Graham would love the fact that they are being passed on, and in his name, and would have hated to think they might have ended up on a scrapheap or in a skip somewhere.
“We all still miss him so very much, and it is wonderful to remember him, and hopefully this is just another part of his legacy which fans can support as their own memory of Graham and everything he stood for.”

All funds raised from the site go directly into supporting the Foundation’s vital work creating opportunities and changing lives of people of all ages in the local community.
