Wolves are back at Molineux, looking for a first Premier League win of the season when Leeds United come to down, and wolves.co.uk presents all the main talking points pre-match.
1 | Roll Call
In his pre-match press conference, Vitor Pereira confirmed Jorgen Strand Larsen could be set to return from an Achilles injury which has put him out of action since his brace against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup. Although the head coach doesn't believe the Norwegian is in condition to start against Leeds on Saturday, he hopes the striker will be available for a period of the game. Pereira has no other injury worries, with the remainder of his squad all taking part in training this week, so there will be plenty of decisions for the Portuguese to make ahead of kick-off.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has doubts over attacking options Daniel James and Willy Gnonto due to injury. James is struggling with a hit in a core muscle, while Gnonto has a calf issue and missed training sessions this week. Both are major doubts for the Molineux fixture but will be assessed closer to kick-off. Karl Darlow replaced the injured Lucas Perri between the sticks against Fulham and retain his position, with the new signing still out with a thigh injury.

3 | Journey to Saturday
Wolves’ hunt for a Premier League win continued last weekend after a narrow defeat at Newcastle United. There were positives in the Old Gold’s performance, particularly early on, as there were against Everton last time at Molineux. Wolves’ last three defeats have all been by a solitary goal, showing the fine margins in the Premier League, and they’ll take heart from the Carabao Cup victory over West Ham United at Molineux.
Leeds were also narrowly beaten on the road last weekend, suffering a last-minute own goal at Fulham. That 1-0 reverse stretched their winless run to three matches, with a goalless draw with Newcastle being sandwiched between away defeats to the Cottagers and Arsenal. Leeds’ only Premier League goal of the campaign so far has come from the penalty spot, so changing that will be the target, as well as improving their record away from Elland Road.
4 | Dangerous Dave wins it late on
Dave Edwards scored a memorable late winner as Wolves edged a seven-goal thriller with Saturday’s opponents Leeds in the Championship back in April 2015.
The Molineux clash was topsy-turvy. Charlie Taylor’s first senior goal put Leeds in front, but a Nouha Dicko brace and Benik Afobe strike flipped the momentum the way of the old Gold.
Danny Batth’s own goal made things tense and Alex Mowatt levelled things up for Leeds, but Edwards diverted home Kevin McDonald’s cross to send Kenny Jackett’s team into the play-off places.

Leeds | Silvestri, Byram, Bamba, Berardi, Wootton, Taylor, Cooper, Murphy, Mowatt, Phillips, Antenucci (Sharp 82).
