With three matches remaining in the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League managers are approaching the business end of their campaigns, so big decisions will be made this weekend, and the four players below may be in consideration for some.
The in-form option
Matheus Cunha | Price: £7.1m | Total points: 175
Although he blanked at Manchester City last Friday, Matheus Cunha still boasts a run of five attacking FPL returns in four matches. The Brazilian struck a post at the Etihad, one week after his goal and two assists against Leicester City. Cunha and Wolves have two of their final three fixtures at Molineux and the Brazilian will expect to be on penalty duty, should Wolves receive their first of the season, so he’s proving a popular pick.
The Brighton link
Rayan Ait-Nouri | Price: £5.1m | Total points: 122
Like Cunha back in October, Rayan Ait-Nouri was on target in the reverse fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion. The Algerian fired home to set Wolves on their way to a fightback from two goals down. That was one of 11 attacking FPL returns from the wing-back this season, and Ait-Nouri has back-to-back assists in his last two Molineux outings, as well as a goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
Brighton’s threat
Danny Welbeck | Price: £5.5m | Total points: 111
Brighton’s leading two point scorers Karou Mitoma and Joao Pedro missed last week’s draw with Newcastle United, but Danny Welbeck led the line one more. The 34-year-old scored against Wolves at the Amex back in October – one of nine goals Welbeck has hit, to go alongside his four assists. With Pedro suspended for the Molineux trip, eyes will be on Welbeck to produce in front of goal.
Challenge option
Mohamed Salah | Price: £13.8m | Total points: 330
Mohamed Salah has ran away with the honour of being the top FPL player this season. Anyone playing FPL Challenge this week will be signing the Egyptian this week too. Liverpool face Arsenal on Sunday and players from both teams will earn players double, so Salah, who has brought in 330 points this term, will be in most teams.
