Old Gold | Top 10 moments of Doherty's decade

On 22nd August 2010, young 18-year-old Irish defender Matt Doherty made the move from Dublin outfit Bohemians to a Premier League club in Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Despite having never made a first-team appearance while at the Bhoys, ‘Doc’ made enough of an impression on Mick McCarthy during a pre-season friendly against Wolves to earn himself a £75,000 move to Molineux.

Ten years have passed since that day. Hundreds of players have come and gone in that time, but Doherty is the only one who remains, establishing himself as a key member of Nuno Espirito Santo’s current side and one of the greatest attacking full-back in English football.

In honour of Doc’s achievements in gold and black during the past decade, we’ve delved into the history books to look back at the top 10 moments of the Irishman’s time at Wolves.
