Relive the 2001/02 season with Wolves ReReviewed

Wolves ReReviewed is back for a sixth episode as the 2001/02 season is re-watched, relived and re-reviewed on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page.

After returning to the late 80s in the last edition, commentator Mikey Burrows, The Athletic’s Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers and comedian Tom Parry are now heading forward into the 21st century as they look back at Wolves season review DVDs (and VHSs) from years gone by.

Powered by Energy Angels, the trio will give their unique insight on a season which saw Wolves come as close to promotion to the Premier League as they had ever done before, as they looked to return to the top-flight for the first time since 1984.

In Dave Jones’ first full season at the helm, Wolves got off to a stunning start, going the first 11 games of the Division One campaign unbeaten and were at the summit of the table heading into October.

Having been sitting in the automatic promotion spots for the majority of the season, and at one stage 11 points clear of third-placed West Bromwich Albion, 2001/02 proved to be a notable disappointment and left old gold supporters heatbroken.

The first part of Wolves ReReviewed episode six will be shown on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8pm on Thursday evening, before part two follows at 8pm on Friday.
