Steve Kindon is the latest Old Gold Club inductee

Former Wolves fan favourite Steve Kindon will be in the Old Gold Club hot seat this evening as the latest inductee on the popular podcast.

‘The Tank’ as he was lovingly known during his playing career, will become the 22nd inductee when he joins regular podcast hosts Mikey Burrows and Chris Iwelumo on this week’s episode.

The Warrington-born winger will discuss his five-year stint at Molineux when he features on the Old Gold Club, sponsored by Wolverhampton Building Supplies.

The episode will be broadcast during a half hour Facebook and YouTube video tomorrow evening at 6pm, before an extended podcast is released on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all other podcast apps.

Kindon, who is now a regular on the after-dinner speaker circuit, has many tales about his days at the club and will delve into these during the podcast, including missing out on playing for Wolves in the 1974 League Cup Final.

While at Wolves, Kindon made more than 150 appearances in all competitions, scoring 31 goals, as his performances as a bustling winger made him a crowd favourite.

Kindon’s episode of the Old Gold Club will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube from 6pm on Wednesday evening, while the full podcast will be available on all the regular channels afterwards.

The first 21 episodes of the podcast, where guests included Carl Ikeme, Kenny Hibbitt, David Kelly, Matt Jarvis, John Richards, George Elokobi, Steve Daley and Mick McCarthy are also available to listen back to by clicking here.
