30th August 2019: Wolves enter a European Competition for the first time in thirty-nine years

After their return to the Premier League in the 2018/2019 season, Wolves immediately sent shockwaves through the division, qualifying for the 2019/2020 Europa League. Wolves had to enter the competition in the second qualifying round but eased past teams including Crusaders and Torino to make it to the group stage. This was the first time Wolves were in a European group stage draw for thirty-nine years. Wolves were drawn into Group K along with Braga (Portugal), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), and Besiktas (Turkey). Wolves would go onto finish second in the group and made it to the quarter-final stage before being knocked out by eventual winners, Sevilla (Spain).
