Wolves Women's historic promotion to WSL 2 is the focus of the first Wolves Express episode of the week.
Following their promotion play-off victory over Plymouth Argyle at Burton's Pirelli Stadium, Wolves secured a place in the women's professional leagues for the first time in the club's history and the key players who were vital to the win, as well as manager Dan McNamara, join the podcast.
First up is goalscorer Charlotte Greengrass whose 61st minute strike proved to be the difference between the two sides. Greengrass shares her thoughts on writing her name into Old Gold history, how McNamara has brought the team together after last year's disappointment and why the fans played such a big role in Burton.
There is also a chat with goalkeeper Alex Brooks who was named Player of the Match for her performance against the Pilgrims, having produced some match-winning stops, and Brooks explains how she's pleased to have proven her worth after a season where she has rarely been called upon.
Finally, head coach Dan McNamara features on the podcast as he reflects on what securing promotion with Wolves after eight years in charge means to him, how Plymouth made it a nervy 90 minutes and why he is determined do everything possible to ensure the team are able to compete with the best in WSL 2 next season.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
