Wolves Express | The assistant head coach trilogy

Harry Watling completes the mini-series of Wolves Express episodes, as Rob Edwards’ third and final assistant head coach to feature on the show.

The extended interview focuses on Watling, who joined alongside Edwards in November and was the first of three assistants to be announced, having committed to Edwards’ journey and followed him from Middlesbrough.

The 36-year-old lifts the lid on what it’s like to work for the Old Gold and discusses the good blend of experience and personality within three assistants – himself, Rui Pedro Silva and Paul Trollope.

Watling is the youngest of the three and explains how that benefits him, and how it’s led to a close connection with promising midfielder Mateus Mane.

Having managed himself, the assistant explains how that experience is helping him now, and how the Old Gold have turned this around in recent weeks but must maintain their momentum after a 25-day wait for a match.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
