Wolves Express | Doherty and Mane discuss an improved month

Wednesday's episode of Wolves Express features an extended chat with vice-captain Matt Doherty and young starlet Mateus Mane as the pair reflect on the team's great start to 2026.

Doherty joins the podcast for an exclusive chat where he reflects over the last four games for the Old Gold which have seen Wolves make an unbeaten start to the new year, with wins in the Premier League and the FA Cup, following Saturday's comfortable victory over Shrewsbury Town.

The defender also gives his thoughts on what it's going to be like to face Grimsby Town in the next round of the cup, how he'll ensure his teammates approach the game in the right way, the confidence boost the players have experienced over the new year period and the importance of taking the new-found momentum into facing Newcastle United this weekend.

In another exclusive to Wolves Express, Mane shares his pride in being voted as the club's SUDU Player of the Month for December, having made a stunning start to life in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old forward, who ended 2025 by notching his first assist in gold and black, as well as producing impressive performances at Old Trafford and Anfield in his first senior starts, gives his thoughts on a whirlwind month and how he is determined to buckle down, keep working hard and not get ahead of himself.

Finally, listeners to the club's official quickfire podcast can hear from under-21 midfielder Luke Rawlings, who has also featured in a couple of Premier League matchday squads under Rob Edwards over the Christmas period, as he shares his delight in stepping up to the senior side and what he leaned from being part of the first-team environment.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
