Rob Edwards is joined by Marshall Munetsi and Jackson Tchatchoua on the latest episode of Wolves Express as the trio preview the new head coach's first game in charge against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Friday’s episode of the club’s official bitesize podcast begins with the highlights of Edwards' first press conference as Wolves head coach after he signed in at Molineux last week.
The former Old Gold defender and coach has returned to the club after six years away where he has enjoyed several historic promotions, but although he shares his delight in returning to Wolves, Edwards is under no illusions about the magnitude of the job that is facing him, if he is to keep the team in the Premier League.
Edwards also explains why he made the move to Wolves from Middlesbrough and how the first week has gone with the players at the training ground, with the head coach outlining the areas he's been working on in a bid to earn a first Premier League win of the season this weekend.
There is also chat with midfielder Munetsi and defender Tchatchoua as the pair discuss the renewed energy which Edwards has brought to the squad during their preparation for Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace to Molineux.
Munetsi outlines what he believes needs to change if the team are to turn their season around, and how the players have quickly brought into Edwards' ways as they try to do everything possible to get the new head coach's tenure off to the best possible start.
While Tchatchoua admits that although the start of his Wolves career has not been as positive as he would have liked, he shares his confidence in his own ability and the quality of his teammates to get out of the current situation the squad finds themselves in.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
