Following the closure of the 2025 summer transfer window, Wolves executive chairman Jeff Shi sat down to answer a series of questions on the club’s summer business and more.
Sat in the auditorium at Compton Park, Shi discussed the thinking behind high profile departures, including Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and last season’s captain Nelson Semedo.
Despite a summer of change, Jorgen Strand Larsen, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season, remained at the club after late bids from Newcastle United were rejected, and his retention is another area of conversation.
The behind-the-scenes mechanism at Compton Park, including the influence of Domenico Teti, was also discussed, as was the importance of signing players with head coach Vitor Pereira’s green light.
The Old Gold have welcomed six new faces to the club, and welcomed back Yerson Mosquera from injury, as well as Hugo Bueno and Ki-Jana Hoever from loans elsewhere, and Shi discussed all in the latest sit-down interview with Wolves TV, which is available to watch below.
