Matchday guide | Girona vs Wolves

Wolves’ next pre-season stop is the north west of Spain and a sold-out away allocation will watch Vitor Pereira’s side take on Girona.

Two weeks before the new Premier League season, Wolves will take on the La Liga side at their Estadi Montilivi home and more than 500 Old Gold supporters will be in attendance.

For all those travelling to Spain, here’s everything you need to know.

Ticket information

Ticket availability: Tickets for this fixture are now sold out, with no further tickets in the away section being released.

Ticket delivery: All tickets for this fixture have either been sent out via Post or left at Molineux to collect.

Weather forecast

Cloudy weather with light showers are forecast on Saturday evening in Girona, with temperatures expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius at the time of kick-off.

Travel and transport

Train: The nearest train station is Girona train station, which is around a 1.5 miles away from the stadium. The L9 bus also takes you directly to the stadium.

Coach and bus: No official coach travel provided by the club for this fixture.

Driving: Travelling from Barcelona, supporters are recommended to travel via the AP-7. Girona is typically around 1 hour 40 minutes away from Barcelona city centre.  

Plan ahead: When travelling overseas, we strongly recommend planning your travel arrangements ahead of time and booking any parking or public transport tickets in advance, as well as checking relevant timetables and allowing yourself extra time.

Stadium guide

Seating Area: The away section is located in blocks 1009 and 2019.  

Turnstile Location: Turnstiles for away supporters are located outside the away section in the North East corner of the stadium, Wolves supporters can enter through Block 2.

Turnstiles Opening Time: Turnstiles are due to open at around 6pm (local time), around 2 hours prior to kick-off. Please note, in some instances there can be delays to opening turnstiles.  

Away Section: The away section features wire mesh fencing between the away and home areas, and has a net over the top of the area, and there are also plastic transparent panels at the front of the away section.

Safety and Security Information

Flags / Banners: Flags and banners are allowed up to a maximum size of 2m x 3m, no sticks or poles are permitted and there must be no offensive messages displayed.

Bag Policy: Bags and luggage are not permitted and there are no storage facilities.

Searches and Bag Checks: All fans will go through security checks and bag searches upon entry to the stadium.

Matchday reporting: Any anti-social or discriminatory behaviour can be reported to the nearest steward.
