Hugo Bueno's time in Rotterdam with Feyenoord, which has aided his development and provided experiences of a lifetime, is documented in the latest Wolves Studios instalment of Loan Wolf.
The Spaniard spent the 2024/25 season in the Eredivisie, living in the Netherlands’ second biggest city. He’s added 30 more senior appearances to his ever-growing tally and is returning to Molineux enriched from the experience of playing Champions League football.
Before his loan spell came to an end, Bueno invited the Wolves Studios cameras over to Rotterdam to film the latest Loan Wolf, dissecting the positives experiences and challenges he’s faced ahead of his return to Wolverhampton this summer.
Bueno sat down in the tranquil Rotterdam countryside to talk supporters through his development from regular football, what it’s like playing for Robin van Persie and Old Gold cult hero John de Wolf and his memorable assist against AC Milan at the San Siro.
The Wolves Studios cameras were also welcomed to De Kuip, Feyenoord’s home, for a thumping 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle, displaying the intense atmosphere Bueno has been in playing in while loaned out from Molineux.
Bueno started that resounding victory, impressing at left-back, and in his post-match press conference, van Persie piled praise on the Spaniard, which is also featured on Loan Wolf.
Speaking on Loan Wolf, Bueno said: “I needed to step up a little bit more. Last season I played quite a lot of games, but every time you want more. I needed to give more. So I came here to show my quality, play a lot of games, get experience and learn. In a new league you learn a lot of things.
“It [the AC Milan assist] will be a moment that stays with me forever, you always dream to play this kind of game, and if you can make the difference it’s even better. When the days go by, you think how special it is. In a football career you have memories that stay with you forever and this loan gave me a lot.”
