Press Pack | Spiers and Judah discuss Lopetegui’s impact

Mikey Burrows hosted the reunion of former Express and Star duo Tim Spiers and Nathan Judah on the latest episode of Press Pack as they discussed the impact Julen Lopetegui has had on Wolves.

Exclusive to Wolves Radio, Press Pack sees the commentator joined by journalists and media personalities who cover Wolves from the region’s newspapers as well as the national titles to get the lowdown on the latest goings on from Molineux.

This week, Burrows was joined by E&S' digital sports editor Judah and Spiers – now London writer for The Athletic, covering Tottenham Hotspur – who has watched Wolves twice in recent weeks as he reported on the old gold’s 1-1 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage before returning to the Black Country to cover the 1-0 win against Spurs – albeit for the opposition – at Molineux a fortnight ago.

On the latest episode, the trio spoke about Lopetegui’s first few months in charge at Wolves and the changes the Spaniard has made, not only to the first-team squad, but across the club, since his arrival back in November.

There was also talk of how the club and supporters could restore the famous Molineux atmosphere – three years on from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic which had a big impact on the progression Wolves were making following their promotion back to the Premier League, an FA Cup semi-final appearance and successive seventh place finishes.

With Spiers now working from the capital and able to provide a neutral's opinion of the club, the trio also discussed why Wolves aren’t getting attention from the national press in the same way other clubs in similar situations have during recent seasons.

Press Pack is available on demand via the Wolves App, where you will also find a wealth of exclusive gold and black content.
