Matchday information

National train strike action will be taking place this Christmas, which will impact all rail services, including Merseyrail, as well as buses in Liverpool.

Supporters travelling to the game are strongly advised to plan their journey in advance. Fans can also keep an eye on the Everton Fan Services Twitter account here for all the latest travel updates.

Supporters driving to Goodison Park should be aware that the ground is in a heavily residential area, road closures will be in place before and after kick-off which may affect drop-offs and pick-ups. The road closures will begin again shortly before the final whistle and remain in place for 15 to 20 minutes dependent on crowd density.

The club’s postcode is L4 4EL, but this postcode will not lead you to available parking which is available at Stanley Park car park, approximately half a mile from Goodison Park at the junction of Priory Road and Utting Avenue. Car parking prices are displayed upon entry.

Everton host a Fan Zone – located in the Park End car park – which opens three hours before kick-off, offering live music courtesy of local bands, great giveaways, as well as regular appearances from former players and other star names.

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off, please be advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid delays as trained stewards will undertake searches at all turnstiles. Also, you will see a presence of sniffer dogs at turnstiles to detect any possible drugs or pyrotechnics entering the stadium.

Due to a number of instances with items being thrown between home and away supporters, Everton has introduced a netting system to act as a prevention, with the purpose of maintaining the safety for both sets of fans.

The stadium is cashless, so fans can only use card payments at kiosks. Supporters are discouraged from bringing bags into the stadium unless for medical reasons and there is no luggage storage facility at Goodison Park.

Social stories

Social stories, a new communication exchange technique using meaningful and understandable pictures, are now available for all of Wolves’ away trips.

These guides are designed to assist fans through an event using up to date pictures and giving them advanced knowledge of what to expect when visiting new places.

Any supporter who would benefit from a social story for visiting Goodison Park, or any future away game, should contact the Wolves Fan Services team on fanservices@wolves.co.uk.

Each social story is individual to the away ground Wolves visits.
