The Fan Zone will open at 3.30pm, ahead of the Premier League clash with Arsenal, and fans can donate filled shoeboxes for the appeal, which helps provide a Christmas present for those less fortunate this festive season.
Those shoeboxes will be donated to the Good Shepherd, Refugee & Migrant Centre, Women & Families resource centre, Strengthening Families Hubs, Jericho House and The Haven to distribute to those in need.
Below are the three ways to donate to the Shoebox Appeal:
- Decide who you would like to donate a gift to – a baby, child or teenager.
- Place your item(s) in a box or bag. If you are using a box, please wrap your box and lid separately so that the lid can be removed without tearing the paper. If you can help, please label your box boy/girl and state an age range so it can be gifted appropriately.
- You can drop off your present at the Feed Our Pack donation point located in the Fan Park on any home match day before Christmas.
The following items are suggested gift ideas:
- 0-3 years | Dolls, teddy bears, baby clothes, bath toys, puzzles, small toys, finger puppets.
- 3-5 years | Dolls and action figures, cars, colouring sets, books, puzzles.
- 5-9 years | Educational games & toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), books, puzzles.
- 9-12 years | Games and toys, stationery, books, t-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats.
- 13-16 years | Books, toiletries (please try to ensure non-allergic ingredients if possible), gloves, scarves, hats, t-shirts, hair accessories.
Please note that we are unable to accept second hand donations, used or damaged items, sharp or fragile items, CDs or DVDs.
Shoebox donations will also be accepted at a drop off on Saturday 17th December, 9am-12pm, in Wolfie’s Den near the Megastore, while supporters who cannot attend either date can contact jadesutton@wolves.co.uk.
The Fan Zone, opening at the earlier time of 3.30pm, will be building the atmosphere before Julen Lopetegui’s unveiling to the Wolves supporters on the Molineux pitch at 7.30pm on Saturday.
Providing the entertainment will be host Dicky Dodd and DJ Edd Cooke, while former player Tony Daley will be meeting supporters.
As always, prizes will be available on the speed cage, while supporters can sign up to the AstroPay half-time game, again to be in with a chance to win big.
All this and more is available inside the Fan Zone, located in the Wanderers Car Park, behind the South Bank on Saturday.
