Travelling supporter information | Man City vs Wolves

Wolves are taking a trip to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as Bruno Lage’s squad face Premier League leaders Manchester City on the road.

A sell-out allocation of 3,000 supporters will be heading to the north west for the 12.30pm kick-off, which is live on BT Sport for those fans not making the trip to catch the action.

But for those supporters who are heading to Manchester, here’s a collection of information which will be useful for before making the trip.

Covid safety information

If you are feeling unwell with Covid-19 symptoms or any cold or flu-type symptoms, please do not attend the game.

Covid-19 status certification spot checks will be in place for Saturday’s fixture and Wolves’ visiting fans are asked to cooperate with the Man City staff who may ask to supporters to present evidence of vaccination status, evidence of a negative Covid-19 test or exemption, before entering the Etihad Stadium.

However, proof of vaccination or a negative test is NOT a condition of entry for this fixture.

Supporters are encouraged to wear a face mask, unless exempt, and also obtain an NHS Covid Pass via the NHS App or NHS website. Details of how to obtain an NHS Covid Pass is available here.

Any children under the age of 18 are exempt from Covid certification checks.

Supporters are strongly encouraged to adhere to the Premier League’s updated matchday protocols and Man City’s Supporter Code of Conduct. You will not be declined entry if you are unable to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test.

To help keep everyone safe on matchday, the Etihad will be implementing a range of health and hygiene measures. This includes the deployment of hand sanitiser stations at various locations within the stadium, the use of one-way systems in washrooms and an enhanced cleaning operation in place throughout matchday.

Matchday information

Supporters are urged to check their stadium entry point, which is detailed on the match ticket as fans must use the specified entrance.

Bags will not be allowed into the visiting supporter section of the Etihad. If fans must bring a bag to the stadium, bag drop facilities that will securely store items will be in place until the match has finished. The bag drop will be priced at £10.

Supporters are also encouraged to bring a form of cashless payment as cash will no longer be accepted across the Etihad Campus, as well as photo ID, as this may be checked as part of Man City’s standard ticketing policy.

The visitor turnstiles will open at 10.30am on Saturday, and supporters are strongly advised to arrive no later than 11.30am to assist getting everyone into the ground before kick-off due to additional security or screening checks.

Car parking for this fixture has sold out and Man City does not endorse any unofficial car parks.

A fast and frequent tram service runs straight to the stadium’s dedicated tram stop, Etihad Campus, which is adjacent to the stadium in City Square. Metrolink services run between Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester every six minutes. The journey from Manchester Piccadilly station to Etihad Campus takes less than 10 minutes.

Metrolink passengers will benefit from an easy-to-use contactless payment system — enabling supporters to touch in at the start of a journey and out at the end using a contactless bank card or another contactless enabled payment device, such as a phone or watch. Tickets must be purchased before travel, with ticket machines located on every Metrolink platform.

Please note – both Holt Town and Velopark Metrolink stops, located on either side of the Etihad Campus stop, will not be open for at least an hour after the match.

Supporters can purchase food and drinks at all concourse bars and concessions inside and outside the stadium, featuring range of hot and cold options including new vegan alternatives, compostable beer cups and edible coffee cups.
