New Premier League protocols mean that there will be a phased introduction of checks for Covid-19 status certification on matchdays, whereby any supporter may be asked to show proof of a full vaccination or of a negative lateral flow test which has been taken within the last 48 hours.
No spot checks will be in place for Sunday’s fixture with Spurs, however, the club will be surveying supporters on their readiness to show Covid status certification in concourse areas pre-game and during half-time, with feedback collected then shared with the Premier League.
Surveys will be conducted by stewards with supporter’s participation completely optional. The survey will take around 30-60 seconds to complete and consists of the following questions.
- Are you aware that there will be checks on individuals’ Covid status at Premier League grounds?
- Do you know what options are available to bring with you as proof of your Covid status?
- Do you have your Covid Pass or proof of a negative Covid test with you today?
- Would you feel comfortable sharing your Covid status at a future match?
- Are you aware of the club’s Covid Code of Conduct?
Before every game, regardless of whether there are checks or not, adult supporters are encouraged to obtain a Covid Pass via the NHS App or NHS website so that they can provide proof of full vaccination or a negative test within the past 48 hours, for the safety of all supporters in the ground.
Details of how to obtain an NHS Pass are available here.
