This season’s awards are being announced digitally over the course of the next five days and on Tuesday the first three winners were unveiled on social media.
University of Wolverhampton Young Professional | Pedro Neto
Neto won the showpiece award on day one, being named the University of Wolverhampton Young Professional after a thoroughly impressive debut season at Molineux.
The 20-year-old arrived at Wolves from Lazio last summer and quickly became a key member of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, turning out 44 times in all competitions across the 2019/20 campaign.
After scoring on debut against FC Pyunik back in August, Neto posed a constant goal threat and his thunderbolt of a volley in June’s win at West Ham United also earned him a nomination for the Goal of the Season Award.
Smart finishes also came away to Watford, Southampton and Olympiacos, lighting up an eye-catching first season in old gold for the Portuguese.

Silverbug Foundation Player in the Community | Adama Traore
Away from the pitch, flying winger Traore was recognised for his support to the local community through Wolves Foundation initiatives.
Traore has gone above and beyond normal expectations of a player while on visits away from the training ground, supporting a range of projects in the community.
Head of Wolves Foundation, Will Clowes, said: “We discussed who has stood out and Adama’s name constantly cropped up because he’s supported a lot of our projects this year and we get the sense he has a personal interest in the people he meets, and takes a lot of time to understand why they’re on certain projects.
“Adama walks in and has a great presence. A lot of the students have only seen him on TV and are completely in awe of him. He has the ability to get into the detail of what they’re talking about, and connect with them, which comes naturally to him.
“He clearly cares passionately about people. He’s a very calm and caring person and values the opportunities we give him to meet participants.”
A&H Construction Loan Player of the Season | Connor Ronan
Ronan was the first award winner of the day, scooping the inaugural A&H Construction Loan Player of the Season award for his efforts away from Molineux.
The Academy product split his season across loan spells in Slovakia with DAC Dunajska Streda and in League One at Blackpool – impressing at both clubs.
His time on DAC’s books was a continuation of last season’s loan and saw him finish with 33 impressive appearances to his name.
Time with the Seasiders followed for the midfielder, who scored an eye-catching strike against Bolton Wanderers, before the League One season was curtailed due to the pandemic.
