Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will take on Newcastle United from 6pm (11am BST) on Wednesday 17th July in the semi-final of the competition at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre. Manchester City and West Ham United will compete in the other semi-final from 8.30pm (1.30pm BST) at the same venue.
If Wolves were to beat Newcastle, they would then face the winner of the other semi-final in the Asia Trophy final on Saturday 20th July, 8.30pm (1.30pm BST) at Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai.
However, if Newcastle are victorious, Wolves would play a third/fourth place play-off against the losing semi-finalist, with the match kicking off at 6pm (11am BST), prior to the final.
It’s the first time Wolves will compete in the biennial tournament, but the debutants will have some knowledge of playing in China thanks to Nuno who has previously taken teams to play in Asia.
Ahead of the competition, Nuno said: “I have been to China and it was very enjoyable, so we are looking forwards to visiting the country again this summer.
“It will be great to compete in a really good tournament with all these other Premier League teams.”
Wolves have been allocated category D tickets, costing £21 for the semi-finals and £32 for the final and play-off. There are no reduced concessions, but each daily ticket will provide access to both matches played on that day.
