Starting this season, a former player or manager is to host in the restaurant, meeting and chatting to fans and answering questions.
Jody Craddock kicked things off ahead of the game against Middlesbrough and Steve Daley was in the chair for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Yeovil Town.
Steve is the new Wolves pitchside host for this season, working alongside Jason Forrest, and he will interview the WV1 guest at half time pitchside, to be shown on the big screen.
Dave Jones arrived as Wolves manager in 2001, and will always be fondly remembered for presiding over the play-off success in 2003 that took the club back into the top flight for the first time in 19 years.
Having left Wolves in November, 2004, he took over at Cardiff the following May, his six-year tenure including reaching the Sky Bet Championship play-offs twice, and the FA Cup Final in 2008.
One of Jones’s captains at Wolves – Paul Butler – is already booked in as the WV1 host for the following home game, the first after the international break, against Millwall on September 9th.
The fixture against Cardiff is at 3pm on Saturday, August 19th.
Places are still available in WV1 restaurant for the game, with guests receiving the following benefits:
- Private reserved table
- Three course choice menu
- Prime, centrally located, padded seat within the Stan Cullis stand
- Half-time refreshments
- Full-time refreshments

The cost is £90+VAT per person, or half price for children Under 12.
*There is also still availability in this restaurant seasonally. This is still the best way to secure your seat for some of the highly anticipated fixtures still to come.
