Internationals | Hubner makes Netherlands U20 bow

Justin Hubner made his under-20s debut for Netherlands, playing 63 minutes of Saturday’s victory over France.

An Emanuel Emegha double sealed a 2-1 win for the young Dutch side, with Hubner featuring for over an hour before being substituted.

The defender had previously played for the Netherlands at under-19s level, before going on to represent Indonesia under-20s last year.

There was a first under-21s appearance for Owen Hesketh, who played the final eight minutes as Wales defeated Scotland in an international friendly yesterday.

The old gold also had representation at under-17 level with defender Brayden Clarke coming on in the 78thminute, as Cymru remained top of Group 2 in the #U17EURO Elite Round with a 1-1 draw against Iceland, ahead of Tuesday’s final game versus Montenegro.

Meanwhile, Lucas Scicluna has been away with Malta under-19s and featured for the last 24 minutes of Sunday’s 2-1 friendly victory over Albania.

Leo Shahar will round off this series of international fixtures, as England under-16s participate in the Mondial Montaigu Tournament in France at the start of next month, with New Caledonia, R. Central African Republic and Belgium the opponents before a potential play-off or final appearance.
