The youngsters take on the Foxes in a third round tie at the home of Kidderminster Harriers, looking to embark on another memorable journey in the prestigious youth competition.
Wolves enjoyed a remarkable run all the way to the final four under Steve Davis last season, eventually losing out to Manchester United at the semi-final stage – the first time the club had gone that deep into the competition since 2005.
Salford City, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion were all dispatched of before defeat at Old Trafford brought the valiant effort to a halt.
This time around, James McPike will lead the 18s and he’ll be assisted by Ian Sharps in the dugout. Several members of the squad have been given opportunities with the under-21s in recent weeks, while others have experienced first-team training in Marbella under new boss Julen Lopetegui.
Leicester themselves got to the quarter-final stage last season, having fallen in the final eight following defeat against Wolves’ eventual conquerors, Manchester United. The winners of this third round fixture are set to travel to Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round.

WHAT THE BOSS THINKS
Speaking ahead of the tie, under-18s coach James McPike has described the FA Youth Cup as an unforgettable opportunity in the young careers of his players and has called on the old gold to focus on their own performance, with a specific angle on how they can hurt Leicester on the night.
“From a players’ point of view in particular, it’s something you’ll always remember. I’ve played in it myself and regardless of what you do in football, you’ll always remember your FA Youth Cup and the nights you have in it.
“As far as their careers go at the moment, it’s a great experience and one they’ll never forget.
“We’ve watched a fair bit of how they (Leicester) play, but not too much – we have to worry about us and what we do.
“We’ve prepared as well as we can, we’ve done our analysis and we’re working on some things in training to try and give them the best chance.
“We’ve got some players in the team who’ve had some good experiences with the first-team and the 21s. When they’re on form, they can be a handful.”
